Just saw these on Ebay in my old hometown. I just don't recognize them as

By "carrier brackets", maybe these are brackets designed to be bolted on the car at the factory so that the car may be transported on a train or truck, then removed as part of the dealer prep. I've owned several cars and trucks that had transport brackets, including a '56 Super Wasp, but those don't look like the brackets that were on my Hudson."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. The auction is for two Hudson Center Bearing mounts with cushions. Both of these are for Hydramatic equipped cars. For those who have parts books go to Section L and see the illustrations for application.
Cheers:D -
OK, carrier bearing brackets! Now they make sense. Too fancy to be a transport bracket!!!"The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
