I resently picked up a 40 standard pickup. It needs complete restoration. The sheet metal is very solid. The grill needs work, there are a few bars missing but what is there is good. The box has been missing for years but the rear fenders come with the truck. The frame seems to be pretty solid but I found one spot with rust on it. I bought the pickup form a man whose father purchsed it in 1941. The original title was lost years ago, but I should have a new one here soon. The original engine was blown up in 1948, so at that time they bought a new crate engine for it. It is now stuck, but the mans son said they had it running about 15 years ago. I am asking $2500 without the box, but I have a 1939 standard that I would pull the box off of for an additional $500. You can contact me at tmjchevelle@yahoo.com.
