6v to 12v push button starter solenoid
-
what soleniod for a dash push button starter switch?
-
The soleniod doesn't care whether it is key actvated or push button. You just have to run a hot wire to the button and a wire from the button to the start terminal on the soleniod.

the problem is only one wire to the starter switch. and it is to ground. it's on a 38 ford that has been converted to 12V keeping the 6v starter. the soleniod that was on the car worked fine, the starter went out, i thought it was the solenoid so i replace it . by the time i got the starter back from being rebuilt i had thrown away the soleniod thinking it was the same as a mustang. now i can't find a solenoid that works by grounding it. thanks for your reply
