307 chevy build
-
i am buying the following parts for my chevy 307......
edelbrock performer rpm intake w/edelbrock cam and flat tappet lifters
edelbrock 750cfm performer 4 barrel carb w/throttle adapter plate
summit racing alluminum roller rocker arms
hooker comp headers w/3" to 2.5" reducers
does anyone know what kind of horsepower this may produce? i dont expect exact numbers just a guess also any further suggestions for this motor would be appreciated!
p.s. everything else on the motor is stock. -
Aaaaahhhhh Don't Know, Don't Care, And Don't Care To Know Lol

750 carb is probably too much. try a 650 holley with an ignition system (msd, accel, something like that), and just play with the jets.

Hi, you didn't mention the compression ratio... most '07's were 9.0:1, and your cam specs... the cam and intake run from 1500-6500? I'd guess 300 hp tops... 307 is not the bad engine everyone makes it out to be. I'd take one of those over a 305 ANYTIME! Remember to put on a decent set of heads too... the stockers were kinda crappy. They rev nicely and can be made to run quite well with the right parts. I'd suggest lower gears though, to take advantage of the higher rpm cam and capability. You'd likely get 50 horsepower more with the same parts on a 350. Hope this helps.. a few years late **LOL** Cheers! Mike
