1951 Hudson Liquidation Sale
-
I'll take all they got.
-
For me, I'd like them to liquidate that clock in the window.
-
I've got a 51 Hollywood out in the woods I'd like to liquidate.
-
Uncle Josh - do you have any other Hudson's you would like to sell? I sent you a message asking you this.Christopher

Christopher - Sorry about that. I saw your email and responded to it, I think, but I had a couple of sleepy nights up here and I can no longer find your email or the one I sent. I did find a draft with the cars attached in a draft to Sam J.?????????
Anyway, what I have for sale is the 51 Hollywood and the 49 Super Six. Everything is there but they both need restoration. I had the 49 started, and the late Bob B. said it ran good when he had it. the 51 motor turns but I haven't tried to start it. shed fell on it and I think they hit every tree in the woods gettin it out.
I've toyed with selling my 52 Twin H Hornet but I'm gonna give it another year I think.

No problem Josh, thank you for responding here anyway.
Wasn't there someone else in the classic car forums expressing interest for the 49' Super Six Sedan? I found the other thread and it was @HotrodHR
As for the 51' Hollywood, could you send me some more pictures of it. I am kinda interested but even as a body man it would take a lot of work to get that roof and fender back to its original shape.
i'll private message you my email address again so you'll have it.

I think if I had the time, (which I don't due to finishing up my 40 eight coupe, and my 46 Pickup with the 39 eight motor) I'd take the top off the Hollywood and make a roadster out of it. Instead of the convertible top, just install a toneau like the sports cars do, and just drive it in nice weather.

Uncle Josh, did you receive my private message or did it not go through?Christopher

Got it Chris

I would not cut the top off of that Hollywood. I would cut the inner structure out of the top of the side window, from A to C pillar, on the driver's side. Then push the roof back to where it should be, straighten out the sheet metal. Remake and install the inner structure. ...Not too many of those left.
-
That 51 could be fixed, a little bondo here, a little bondo there and it would look like new. lol I bet there is someone who could.
-
All bondo jokes aside, please don't chop the top off that car and make it a carson top convertible. It could be fixed. I could fix that roof.
1st day to cut out the inner structure and push out that top.
2nd day make sure the windows all fit right, doors closed good, it's all symmetrical, make patterns for the new inner structure.
3rd day make the new inner structure and weld it in.
4th day,...start working on the rest of the car. -
Josh - could you get back to me about the question I messaged you concerning the 51 please.
