Electric Hand

I recently came across an Electric Hand column unit in a box of Hudson parts I received from my grandfather. Since I'm a Stepdown guy, I really don't have a use for it. I've searched around the internet a bit, but I really haven't found anything regarding what this unit would be worth to somebody.
I don't have any of the solenoids (that i know of), just the column part. All the parts seem to be moving correctly and pretty smooth. All the wires seem in good shape for the age and you can see the colors that you could match to a wiring diagram.
Anybody bought or sold one of these recently? Any advice would be appreciated!

I sold one last year to a guy in Europe for about $100. He was making a Tucker replica and said this was closest to original he could find

Based on the photos and description of the condition, I'd say $100 to $150. There's a small but regular stream of folks who want to get an Electric Hand system back into operating condition. Advertise it in the logical places, including E-Bay. You'll sell it and make someone else happy to have it. The Electric Hand components were designed to be pretty easy to disassemble and repair. I've done a complete rehab on a '36 system. Yours looks like 37 or 38, but difference from '36 is minimal. The '35 unit looks much different.

As to the relative scarcity, my guess is that the control units (which you have) alone, are more plentiful and thus worth way less than the entire unit with the solenoid controlled valves, and the various switches. When an Electric Hand gave out, during the car's "middle ages", the control unit often remained on the steering column long after the valve unit was removed and thrown away.
So go ahead and advertise it for $100 or so, but after it's been on Ebay for awhile take the best offer! -
Well, I'm not trying to make money. I've been around Hudsons all my life and would like to find Hudson homes for all the stuff I've got. It's stuff I don't need cluttering up my shop space.
