40 Door hinges
-
Before I head to the machine shop, does anybody happen to have some good door hinges for a 40 coupe? I don't think I should use this one. The halves on the doors are OK. I need the half on the body. Are the sedans the same? I thought maybe I could use the lower ones from the 46 but they changed the length and the offset. And the uppers are completely different.
Maybe I could grow a new one with these new-fangled printers. Anybody know if valves have stem cells?

You should be able to weld that, or bondo it up. Just don't slam the door afterwards.

Surprisingly, the other half of the hinges on the doors are virtually rust-free. Body off, I have fixed the frame, replaced the rear springs, made a left lower A-frame from a right, transplanted a trunk floor pan from a 46 parts car, made a floor, NOS grill frame etc. and rebuilt the straight 8. About what's expected in Northern NYS. It's gettin there.
