neutral safety switch adustment
-
I am trying to adjust the neutral safety switch on our 54 Hornet. I can't seem to find the correct position of the switch so it only starts in neutral. I have a hydra matic. As of now the motor turns over in gear but does not turn over in neutral.
Do I have to rotate the steering tube that the switch is mounted to. Or is it a trile and error fix.Any
instructions. Thanks Ray -
Exactly opposite of what it's supposed to do. Send me your email and I will send you a pic of what mine looks like and you can go from there. I thought I had issues with the switch, but it turned out to be a minor trans problem. Took the switch apart, and then put it back together.

Make sure that the shifting rod to the tranny is adjusted correctly. I was having issues and it was only an adjustment to this rod that lined every thing up!!!!
