Hudson instrument glass or panels
-
Hello everyone
I am in need of replacement glass panels for a 47 pickup. Are they being reproduced? If anyone has complete panels for sale, I am interested.

I have 7 spare panels but all are like yours - the glass is cracked. I understand that the writing is painted on the glass. I hope you get lucky and find some. I have one with a clock, and others have all the gauges and speedos. ozhudsonatgmail.com use the @ symbol Barry in Australia

Bill Albright had some reproduced or had them at one time. You might contact Jason @ Albrite's vintage couch.

I thought there was someone in Florida that had been making these items for 42-47 cars, possibly even for Bill Albright. At least there was some expertise on this at one time. There is nothing for 40 or 41 which are different. They have a lucite cover, which can be cleaned and polished, but the parts underneath are foils and metal strips of different colors depending on the model (Hudson Six, SuperSix, or Commodore). Wish I could find someone with a way to reproduce those.

Why not drop a e-mail to this guy? http://www.showcarquality.com/dashGlass.htm
He makes glass for a couple years of Hudson (not yours) but he might consider tooling up if there was a demand! Try Jason at Albright's first, though. -
barrysweet52 . Are you interested in selling the panels ie instrument gauge panel and glove box door?

Just a thought if some one was going to do them
get the glass Iron free (diamante or star fire) you will find there is no green tinge to it and everything will look crisper and whiter
We use it for glass splash backs to kitchens and what is put on the back(color) will be the same color on the front
