Which arm rests fit on which stepdowns?

I've been asked if the earlier stepdown arm rests will fit on 54s. I don't know if they will or not. Does the metal part of the inner door on the 54s have the threaded holes ,like the earlier stepdowns do, that the arm rests screws screw into?
I got an email from a Hudson guy who wants to know if my arm rests will fit on his 54 and I don't know what to tell him. Thanks for your help . Rob -
rob, the 53-54 arm rests are a different beast than the 48-52. they are upholstered over and stapled to the panel. two skrews go through the handhole into a metal bracket monted on the door itself. they are wood and foam in construction.
