'46 pickup hinge brackets
-
I have a '46 pickup I'm in the middle of and basically the whole rear portion of the bed was missing when I started. The bed is in decent shape now but I'm looking for some dimensions from someone with a pickup so I can reproduce the hinge brackets that bolt to the rear of the bed. I can reproduce a reasonable facsimile from photos but if I'm going to the trouble to make them I would prefer to have them as dimensionally correct as possible. Any help would be appreciated.......even better would be if anyone has a set they are willing to part with.

I understand that Jeep (Kaiser) ones are the same and are easily found on line ,

Thanks Roger....I've found an old thread here that discusses the same.......I should look a little harder before I ask the questions. Still interested in dimensions but am looking for jeep fc truck hinges as well.

Where are you located? There are truck owners all over the country, and some of them may hang out here. Possibly one is located not far from you and would let you come over and measure / photograph his bracket.

Live about an hour north of Dayton Ohio. Great idea, thanks!
