I thought it would be nice to share this "old blue" girl with all of you. My plan for her is to keep the body looking barn fresh and just improve & restore the mechanicals so she is reliable and fun to just hop into and go for a drive with my daughters.

Love these original barn fresh cars. It will get more attention at a car show then a restored one. It's a great handling car to boot. Have fun.

The more cars that I restore the more I think I would like to have a nice barn fresh find and do as you are planning. Like the folks say, it will give you as much attention with the public. And it does not much matter when you are behind the wheel driving down the street. The smile is just as wide...

I like your idea, and people really do like the old barn find cars. I have proof of that as I drive this "UGLY" looking 51 Pacemaker to the local shows and it gets more attention than my good looking ones. Take a look at what I'm proud to drive.
I hope it comes out, been a long time since I posted a pic. Richie.

Richie, that's not bad looking. You should have (maybe did if you were there) seen the Hollywood that came to the Oklahoma International last year!!!!! It didn't look like it could have made it out of the owners driveway, much less run all the way from Indiana or Illinois - somewhere up there. In any event it was there and it was good to see it there.

I agree with Alex... I would have been a tough job to restore the one that was in Oklahoma, but, darned, if it did not look neat. I am not really sure I could pull something like that off. richie's however would look great in my shop....
