father -son road trip

i live in houston,tx my son &i are wanting to take a road trip looking for salvage yards that have some classics and antiques . we would like to start out headed towards san antonio then head north and west towards west tx then head back eastward and make a big loop and eventually back to houston. does anybody know of any nice yards to go looking through . trying to keep a good thing going for generations to come . appreciate any help
