Just a reminder for those who can attend:

Hudson's for the Heroes
Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
Come and join the Gateway Chapter HET at Fort Wood to thank the Soldiers and civilians for their work and sacrifice to secure our way of life.
This instillation is one of the most modern training facilities in the world, with three major schools (Chemical, Engineer, and Military Police). We will provide guided tours to the Museum and currently negotiating access to several other training sites not normally available to civilians, such as the simulation training sites for marksmanship, truck driving, and other sites to be determined. The wounded warrior rehabilitation facilities tour will provide a chance to thank those injured providing for our security. Fort Leonard Wood is located in South central MO, at I 44 exit 161 (St. Robert) then south to the fort. The Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) organization and other military personnel will provide an interesting and informative day. The show will be at the community club which will provide tables chairs and restroom facilities. I will place the initial cost of $10.00 per family. We are working on other items for purchase such as tee shirts and food items. All monies will go to the Soldiers. The St. Robert area has many name brand hotels and a wide variety of restaurants. I will provide more information and a schedule of events as it becomes available. For further information or questions contact David and Lois Carroll, 20740 Hwy 28 W. Dixon, MO 65459, Home Phone: 573-759-6468, E-mail: dkcarrol@yhti.net (put Hudson in the subject line) We hope there will be a good turnout for this initial show at an interesting location

Enjoy folks - Did my Basic Training for the U.S. Army at 'fort lost in the woods' early in 1972, and haven't been back since...
-
I was stationed there 1993 - 1995, commanding a basic training company. Wish I could go also, maybe next year. Hope it's close to some of the barracks or the PX to get the attn of the basic training troops. They will enjoy the escape from the usual routine. Doug
