Question About Fasteners (?) for Window Moulding - 1939 Hudson 112

I was taking all the hardware off of the doors for my '39 (in preparation for media blasting and primer).

On the moulding around the windows, I see what appear to be some type of 'metal nails' (?) that hold the window moulding in place. I am sure someone has come across this during previous restorations - What do I do with this, when the time comes to put new moulding in?

And, while removing window channeling and the moulding there, this metal bracket was found. It appears to attach to the moulding, with the bracket holding the moulding in place, in the window channel.
I'll eventually be looking for this moulding - most likely it will not come with these metal pieces (?)...

Pulled my 3rd door out, see that the moulding has been replaced - and whoever put it in used small metal screws. Guess it's just a matter of using what you can (and what works), to get it secured...

    Rick-

That's pretty much it. Hudson WAS big on using the "screw-nails". Nails that were twisted when manufactured and "screw" or spiral in when hammered.

I would drop Pete a line and reference this thread, by the way.
