57 chrysler 300
-
does any one know if there were two type of hood "CHRYSLER" letters user on the front hood of the 57 300C. i have just purchased a lot of 57' 58'59 300 parts. including a full set of 59 guages, any idea what a full set of 59 300E guages are worth, these include the 150mp/h speedo, clock, amp/fuel/oil/temp cluster all in excellent condition with very nice chrome and faces.
the set of hood letters i just purchased are new, i also have a new original chrysler 300d side emblem with chrome letters in original chrysler box. i am looking at selling the bits i dont need for my 57 300. -
There was only one type of letters across the front lip of the 300C, D, E hoods. There have been reproductions done by a couple of companies that were not as sharply defined. Also rechromes loose their crisp edges. Then only the 300E had the "300" on the left shoulder of the hood.
The side medallions interchange from C-G - you just need to change out the letter.
If you have a set of used hood letters or list of parts you want to sell, please contact me.
