1936 Hudson eight Ignition
-
Been having some problems with getting any speed out of my car. Drove it home from a car show a few weeks ago and the best I could get out of it was 20mph. Checked out the gas system and everything is working good so we went after points. Bought a tune up kit from NAPA and had to wait a week for the cap to make it from the east coast but all else made it in a day or so. Replaced the points and learned that the distributor is a bit like "aunt sally" old and worn out. I pulled it and decided to rebuild it. Now I am curious, is it possible to get a NOS distributor for a 1936 Hudson 8? Are rebuilds out there and available at a reasonable price? Or am I better off rebuilding the one I have?Brownie
