Complete 212 for sale!!!
-
I've got the complete 212 engine AND three-speed (no o/d) from my '46 Super Six that I am looking to sell. It is 100% complete from oil pan to air cleaner, and from fan to tail shaft! Engine turns easily by hand and with the plugs out. I have NOT attempted to start it, because of the ratty under-hood wiring. It is all there and ready for your pre-'48 Hudson install. The picture shows it without the spark plugs installed, but they are with the engine.
Asking just $400 cash money, BUYER is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements, or you can pick it up yourself here in Oklahoma City, OK. It is still in the '46 right now, but will be coming out very soon.

If you know anybody who is going to ship a car from oklahoma to sweden, i would be happy to buy the engine from you, and see if we could put it in the same container. But otherwise i have no idea how to ship it to sweden without spending a fortune on shipping, and killing poor postmans backs. If you know any way to ship it to sweden for a reasonable cost, i will buy it.

And i have 4doors and a lot of small parts for him to ship from sweden to Uk.
There must be a way to ship. I know in sweden we have a pallet service, cost os around $150 and you can ship anything that fits up to 1000kg. But that seems to be only in sweden, not domestic.
The easiest way would be to talk to a car importer and see if they coult fit the engine in one of their containers, but that might not be as easy from sweden to uk as for usa to sweden. There are lots of car importers to sweden that ships cars from usa almost monthly -
I'm on vacation for the next week but when I'm back it will be my mission to sort something out :-)

I can crate the engine for another $175.00 USD, and have it ready for a shipper to pick up, if that helps anyone interested."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,

Jon B suggested I take the 212 on my flight to Frankfurt: "should fit in the overhead locker..."
-
The hard part would be heaving it up in there......

Patrick, i will call around and check with import firms here in sweden and see if ey can help with the shipping. I checked with summit racing what the shipping for a chevy 383 just tohave some pointers for the shipping, that would cost $1000 with schenker if i pick it up at the airport, $2000 with dhl to postage office. So i need some more research to find better shipping.
Maybe we should have a place on the site with the differend shipping soloutions people come up with for difficult shippings so that it is easier for others to find later. -
I'll check locally about shipping options. What is the closest/largest shipping port of entry to your location?"The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,

I think for containers it should be Gothenburg harbour, by air it is Arlanda.
