Hudson radiator cap

I found this radiator cap on a mining/logging road in south lake Tahoe and was wondering if anyone knew anythign about what it came off and how old it might be. Its about 3 inches across and half an inch tall. Its made of some pretty hefty steel with 4 rivets holding. If you know anything I'd appreciate the help!
