A friend and fellow Hudson owner, Gary Chuesburg of Oklahoma City, died in a house fire this morning, July 19th, shortly after midnight. The home caught fire and went up quickly. Gary was a long-time member of the Dust Bowl Chapter of HET, and was currently the chapter president. He had a really nice 1941 Super Six sedan that he had painted as a police car. That was his daily driver for several years. It, too, was lost in the fire.
The link above is to the Daily Oklahoman news article, and there is also a short video.
I'll post info concerning services and such as soon as info is known.
RIP, Gary."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..." -
I am a member of the DustBowl Chapter also and always liked Gary. He was a nice guy and will be missed. He just took over the editor position not too long ago for his chapter.
I rode with him to one of the cruise nights at our Regional in Nebraska. I got a new camcorder..just goofing off with it, bad quality...not really knowing how to use it but I do have a little of him on it. RIP,Gary
