Air Conditioned Hudson Jet?
-
Has anyone installed air conditioning in a Hudson Jet? I am assuming that one of these retro-fit AC kits would work as long as you switched to 12 volt, but I'm asking for a fellow H-E-T'er who is thinking of possibly doing this. I do know a local fellow in the H-E-T who has installed AC in his 6-volt '54 Hornet but of course that's a larger engine.

I never seen one on a Jet, but I have seen A/C in a Hash Wasp, which has the same motor.

Yes, AC has been installed in a Jet. Think it was Bob Johnson in Nebraska that did a red/ white Super Jet with AC. used the compact Sanden SD-5 compressor I think, with single groove pully, and 12 V alternator. There was even a green 37 Terraplane Coupe with the same Sanden AC compressor on the 3X5 splasher.
