    Hi - I was looking thru a mid '30s Audels Auto Guide. I found a article about a Vel-Vac vacuum powered unit for cars with mechanical brakes. Does anyone know anything about or even heard of them? Norm

    Hudson offered vacuum-assisted mechanical brakes in the full sized Hudsons in 1933 I believe (possibly '32?) but I don't recall if they were called "Vel-Vac".

    That is a brand name of truck brakes that are still in bussiness If you do a Google search,
