Sending Unit ?
-
Is There a sending unit below the intake and exhaust manifold on a 308 , And is there a wire that was in it comming out the front and going to where?. Isee the unit but no wire, the rats more then likley had it for lunch. Also what are the chances of rats or mice going through the tail pipe into the engine, The car sat for thrity years. Thanks John

There is a heat valve which is held shut by a spiral flat spring. I would consider it nigh near impossible for anything to get inside the motor from the tail pipe.If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

The oil pressure switch is down there, near the oil pump.Six in a row makes it GO!
