Make sure you have the correct cam to go with them. Walt.

More info and pictures here, the hydraulic lifters used on the 1936 Cadillac are very similar to the ones used on '56 Hudson 308's.

Same lifters used by 1936-48 Lincoln Flathead V8's as well. There are some new sets on eBay, the hydraulic plunger part that is.....The mushroom tappets are particular to the '56 Hudson. I have a set, but they need cleaning, and the tappet faces should be reground on a spherical tappet grinder. It is possible the solid tapppets for Chrysler industrial flathead can be bored out, grooved and drilled to accept the hydraulic plungers.

For hydraulic lifters, you must remember each inner part is mated at the factory with the outer part. You can not change them, factory orders. They are machined to fit each. Walt.

1. The image issue has been fixed by the look of it.
2. To delete a post, all you need do is click the word Delete on the post of yours that you want to delete.
On those two counts, the system is very much up to par. -
My mistake, I had to join as a regular member to confirm this. You can only edit your own entries, not delete them. Moderators only have the option to delete entries. Pretty standard forum fare.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GREAT INFO
