What Happened with Full Line
-
Now that the K-Gap site is down and has been for several days, it made me wonder if Full Line Hudson parts is coming back to town. After the recent tide of events happened the way they did with the new owner backing out, what is the status now?
-
From what I can see, the K-Gap site is still there (online presence), however the store is listed as 'Closed for Maintenance'.
No additional information is posted as to what's going-on, etc.. You might want to give them a call or send them an email -

As far as 'Full Line', that appeared to be a flash-in-the-pan. IMO, reality kicked-in on the 'new owner(s)' who quickly discovered the amount of effort required to re-establish, keep and maintain a business of that nature.
One would hope that there will be someone found who is willing, capable and has the backing necessary to accomplish the formidable task.
I know it has been mentioned before, however -
Possibly the HET Club should 'step up to the plate' in this? Full-Line appears to have been (in its time) an established, viable entity - which, if acquired by the HET Club, could be a great asset to a club like ours.
Granted, there are issues about being a 'non-profit', however I do not see those issues as insurmountable. Point of fact, there would be no profit in it for a while, and any profits could always go into 'expanding' the offerings or items reproduced. It would actually help us to be more self-sustaining, i.e., reproducing limited and hard-to-find parts for our own cars... -
then you run into the basic problem of logistics + #1 problem of who is going to maintain & run it ala the Club Store, the Club Library each of which have changed location numerous times during their existance and trying to find a Club member willing & able to take it over then MOVE all the stuff to the next volunteer.
This would be a full time employment opportunity for someone at zero pay? I dunno!
