Need help identifying year of car in photograph

I'm a freelance writer working on a story. One of the photos I'm using includes what looks like a 50s car to me, but the back of the photograph states it was taken in 1949. I've attached a blow-up from the photo. It's not clear but I'm hoping someone on the forum will recognize the car and be able to pinpoint the year. Thanks, Ted

agree it's an Olds, but maybe a '54?

Many thanks, guys. I think oldhudons zeroed in on it. See the attached photo of a '54 olds I found on Google Images. The two-tone dividing line coming down from the rear window and sweeping toward the back end looks very similar to the car in the photo I posted.
