Gas Tank Sending Unit - 1949 Hudson Commodore
-
I've been trying to replace the sending unit in my Hudson. So far the guys I've bought them through have sent me units for 50's era Fords. The holes dont line up. Now I dont mind drilling some holes, but does anyone out there have a NOS unit, or know of a unit that fits better? Thanks, Rick
-
YES THEY FIT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO LATE 34 OR 35 DEPENDING ON WHAT TANK YOU HAVE IN YOUR CAR MY SENDING UNITS WILL WORK ON 6 OR 12 VOLT AND ARE THE CORRECT OHMS THE FORD ONE DO NOT HAVE THE RANGE OURS DOES 53 54 YOU NEED TO DO A FEW THINGS TO MAKE THEM WORK BUT NOTHING BIG OR COSTLY IF YOU NEED ONE LET ME KNOW BY THE WAY DR. DOUG GETS HIS FROM ME
-
I just ordered mine from Paul. Sounds like it's just the ticket!
-
PAULARGETYPE - how much are the sending units and how does one get in touch with you for ordering?
-
I think the Ford unit you have will work, but you need to bend the wire that the float is connected to. The sending unit will only go on one way.
