Electric Hand Back up Shift Handle
-
Hello all,
I am in need of the gear shift handle for a 37 or 38 electric hand equipped car. Hudson or Terraplane would be the same. This handle is different than a non-electric hand equipped car, and was strapped to the right front kick panel on electric hand equipped cars. If you have one you would like to sell, please contact me hetarminard@comcast.net drop the het before sending.
Thanks,
Allan -
Is the shift tower (transmission top cover) of an electric hand -equipped car physically different to accept the removable handle? If so, to solve your need, can't the complete shift tower with handle from a non- electric hand -equipped car be interchanged to give you shift -ability? I presume your electric hand refuses to function - as was the problem with the option - and why it was dropped. Surely several years of top covers are the same, perhaps from '34 -39?
