Source for matching Terraplane paint?
-
Hello, Bearing in mind that I'm feeling my way through a car restoration, can anyone recommend a source for a match, for 1937 Hudson Terraplane standard factory color Royal Maroon, Sherwin-Williams # 32144? I am having some sheet metal painted and trying to match the original color on some other parts I had painted a while back. Unfortunately, I no longer have the room or equipment to do it myself.
Thanks!

John, any good automotive paint supply should be able to create a paint code to match an existing painted part-sample. PPG paint suppliers are one example.
Of course, the painter can make slight differences in "tint", depending on air pressure, paint equipment and technique.

The autocolor library is not going to be as accurate as a local pro paint supplier that has the equipment to match what you have on hand.
