Finally got the front sheet metal painted. I farmed it out as I didn't think I could lay down the mettalic down evenly. Gonna paint and install the rockers and skirts this week. I know it looks like crap with front end painted and the rest in it's original paint, but I've been 7 years gettin to this point. Bumper, guards, headlight doors, hood and fender ornaments still at the plater, been there since Febuarary. I hope to make Kalamazoo next month in it. Still ahve a glich in the overdrive.

Rockers, skirts painted, stainless cleaned up and installed. I hope they offset the ugly. Went by plater Friday, stuff not done. Hope to have them a few days before Kalamazoo meet.

Your car looks like a 50 Hudson that belonged to a long ago Michigan, HET member. What is the history of your Hudson?

Kerry, I'm gonna try to make Gettysburg.
37CTS, I think the fellow's name is Dave Berman. He had it back in the nineties. It been well cared for. Originally came frome one of the Chicago burbs. However, it didn't see much winter dirving. When I got it mileage was 58k and had 2 dead cylinders (burnt valves) and had been setting in a garage in Lansing for a few years. I've owned it for 7 years. It's been a long process getting to this point and I hope I don't get asked too frequently "when ya gonna paint the rest of it?" Next winter, I hope. I have a paying project coming next week, haven't taken in any car projects cause I wanted to get my own on the road. It's taken the last year and a half getting here. My engine set at the machine shop for 5 years, so I'm thrilled to be driving it. Nothing of this car's era drives like it does even with the front end outa wack. Which will be cured by the end of this week.
