i hate to jump on this thread with such a dumb question, but hey, i have no shame. where does the vac line hook up to. i got my wiper unit freed up and cleaned the dirt dobber junk out of the hookup, but i don't see a free port on carb or intake manifold. i looked in the manual but didn't see a section for the wipers- might have missed it though.

what car are you asking about. the '34/'35's had a port on the aft side of the intake manifold.
later model car owners will chime in, but i believe the later cars will tap off the intake manifold or the vacuum port on the dual action fuel pump for the vacuum source.

A port on the cast iron base of the carburetor. If it was not being used there will be a pipe plug.

herm- Yes, you're right. I had my mind set on a Twin-H, with two carburetors, using one for the wipers. I didn't recall a port on the manifold.
