1937 3 x 5 temperature sender needed
-
Dave,
You don't (by chance) have a picture, etc., of the part you are looking for, do you? I have a head off of an engine that I pulled out of my '39 Hudson 112 Pickup, which has what appears to be a temperature sending unit on it, and I think the head is from an earlier year (36-38) Hudson (7 to 1 compression ratio).
Attached is a picture of the head, from an earlier post (lower right corner for what appears to be the sending unit) -

I have an engine from a 37 with sending unit in it. I dont know its condition but its available if you want it,
Roger

According to the 1927-1950 Numerical Parts Interchange book, Element-Cyl Hd Temp Indicator part number 150553, was used on 1936 Models 62-67 and 1937-1938 all models.
(Model 61's didn't have a temperature gauge.)
This information is available in the online library @:
http://hetclub.org/burr/lithomepage.htm (the 1927-1950 parts book is in the Other Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Literature file.
