I want to send a PM to Paul LARGE TYPE.. Now I can't find a directory to get his contact info. I guess I have to wait for him to post something on the forum? I fail to see where this is much of an improvement. I am wondering just what were the issues with the old format that was such a problem. But then again I'm just an old Geezer that doesn't "dig" the cyber world.

@SuperDave The problem with publishing a directory, or putting email addresses somewhere easily accessible, is that in a very short space of time you would find yourself receiving a lot of unwanted and potentially dangerous emails, as the addresses would be 'harvested' by spammers and virus makers and the like.]

The PM feature should get his attention - it's difficult to miss the red box indicating that a message has been sent to you.

I still can not access any previous PM.s sent to me. I hope you can fix this problem.

Lee, if you click 'Inbox' at the top do you not see all of your old private messages? I just checked via another user's account, and saw the the old private messages have been imported.

I had not explored that part of the new format yet.

The pm's are posted along with my emails and I was alway able to access them when I checked my emails. I can not access them there now. What happened?

I just now checked the above "inbox" and the PMs are there except one from DLROCK posted 7/9/2012. I'll check to see if any others are missing.

Thanks for you help. Lee O'Dell

I saw "Older Converstions" at the bottom. The print is barely visible. I missed it before my previous post.

So just to check Lee, you found them all? And yes, they will be paginated, it helps with the page load time. Too many posts on one page can not only be slow to load, but also Google likes sites and pages that load as quickly as possible. Slow pages are penalised with where they appear in the search rankings.
