Seeking 1936 juice brakes

A fellow 1934 Hudson owner in Austria is in the process of restoring his convertible and asked for our help in locating '36 or later brakes to convert from the cable brake system to hydrolics. Park W. offered my a complete '36 brake set-up years ago (which I didn't take) however, wondering if anyone building a rod might be willing to part with the 36 or later original brake stuff.

Jim, I'm just going through the cable to hydraulic exercise with our '35 H8 roadster. FWIW the more readily obtainable (and larger) stepdown brakes can be fitted as well as the '36 etc brakes. The stepdown backplates bolt straight up to the '35 and presumably also the '34 stub axles, and with a little bearing swapping the stepdown hubs will mount onto the '35 spindles.

Jim, Old Fogey in the UK has those brake parts. He's not used them, so may be willing to sell.

Yes, I've still got the parts from Park and they're available if anyone wants them.
However, my offer may be more appealing to someone in the UK or Europe as shipping to the US will be expensive. If someone in Oz wants them, I may be able to organise cut-price shipping through a guy in my local car club who imports old cars and parts from Australia. -
Hey David, I will let Kurt know you still have these parts. He is located in Austria (NOT Australia!) however, the '34H is being restored in Belgium so, relatively close to you in the UK.
I will private email both of you later so you can decide the best course of action.
Will we see you @ Gettysburg this year? Hope so!

Thought this thread was about the H8 conv. I used to own!. Having now aquired back a '35 Terraplane coupe with later engine/trans change I too am looking for options to convert to hydraulics. Going with different rear axle and will adapt whatever I decide on using to make fit on the front beam (possibly Jag xj6) so really looking for info on a pedal box that will fit fairly easy , doesnt have to have power but will need a decent master cylinder for at least discs on the front. I'm thinking floor mount type as I'm now with a cable clutch set up which for visual appearance needs to stay in a low position.BTW this is a LHD vehicle, any parts leads help/advice much appreciated on either the pedal box or front brake set up

Sadly not at Gettysburg this year, Jim, due to expensive storm damage repairs to my home. However if you're at the 2013 Eastern Regional, I'm going to be there.
