Carter carb part
-
Hi all,
In need of another part. My Carter 331S carb has a dash pot cylinder screwed into the outside base of the float bowl. The threads are stripped, probably cross threaded at some point, and I am looking for another one. Walt is searching for me as well but no luck yet.
Anyone else have one to part with or a contact to try?
Thanks again,
Jeff -
Try Jason @ Vintage Coach, Tues thru Sat. 8am till 5pm. 909-823-9168. He may have one.

The way your request is worded, I cannot tell if you need the dashpot, the carburetor bowl base, or both? By the way this is a Carter W-1 carburetor, so the base is common to other makes in the mid-late 30's.

Hey Ken,
I see what ya mean, sorry about that!
I only needed the small aluminum dashpot. Bowl base threads are ok.
Yes it is a W1 but I havent seen a lot of other W1's that have the dashpot on them. I have only seen it on the 330S and 331S so far.
Think I have a line on one and will get it all done.
Thanks,
Jeff
