Hornet Horn Button restoration?

Is it possible to restore a Steering wheel center cap or horn button for a Stepdown Hudson? The plastic has a round crack on it, some surface scratching too.Any ideas how to repaint the brown/ copper colored background? or any leads on nice horn buttons... eBay hath none.
