In OCW recieved today a nearly 1/2 p. photo of subject car sitting in a mowed field of grass with the following info: "The 1937 Hudson Deluxe Eight Victoria coupe was spotted by OCW reader Earl Welch not far from his home in Merced, Calif. The car was one of several cars for sale along Highway 140. The coupe definitely needs some TLC, but it appears mostly complete".
The photo shows both headlamps & lenses complete & unbroken, stainless grille complete & intact, and the bumper complete with guards. The windshields are not broken out nor does it appear the roof has damage. The fenders have the medallions on the front of them so it would appear to be a very intact unmolested Hudson + being quite rare & collectible. If a true Victoria coupe it would have a small seat facing sideways behind the front seat so an unusual & rare model PLUS it's a Hudson 8!
It doesn't mention whether it has Elec. Hand, radio, or heater.
Anyone living up in that area of Central Calif. ought to check it out or call information in Merced for Mr. Welch as to exact location, price, etc.
Ten years ago I'd have been on my way up there already & not posted this in here!
    LOL
