This subject was dealt with quite extensively, a few days ago, on the Forum. Several helpful suggestions were offered on how to get around the problem:

I thought all Hudson owners would want to paint their brake calipers pink with a special spray can just for the job! Seriously, the most frustrating thing for me was trying to get through to ebay to make a complaint - impossible.

Lets start an organized effort to spam the offending listers every time we go on ebay. Maybe they will tire of the Hudson response and go somewhere else. Things like "will these pink bucket seat covers fit my '54 HHH bench seat if I stretch them?"

I sent a message if their wheel covers would fit my Hudson. They responded back, It should fit. I asked if they know what a Hudson is. No response.

I quit doing ebay several years ago. I got tired of all the BS, scammers, non-payers...plus, I'd rather haggle prices with someone in person than compete with someone who doesn't know what the value of a part is.

I get better deals and enjoy dealing with folks on this forum for parts I need.

Imagine a nice prewar car with those 'ugly' original wire wheels, those China made plastic caps would really be fantastic

It like going to a swap meet. You have to pass by all the unwanted stuff to find the desired part you need that when found has SOLD painted across the flawless painted surface that was the same color of your car. Only, thanks to technology, its faster on the internet and you do not have to leave the house at 4 a.m. to drive 50 miles, to pay $9.00 for parking, buy a $10 entrance ticket, walk 20 miles of isles of junk and buy $20 worth of hot dogs and Cokes for lunch and drive 50 miles home at 5 p.m. emty handed with $50 added to the credit card for gas plus fees for exceeding the credit card limit and for late payment. To cover up any disappointment you proudly proclaim, to the wife when you arrive home, how much money you saved at the swap meet by not buying any parts to make her happy.

    Those were the days.

thanks to the tips i have received here (using the minus sign in front of 'fits hudson' coupled with vintage car and truck parts) ebay now works great. thank you.
