Wire harness
-
Does anyone know where I can get a new wire harness for my 39 six? I have found on the web a place called YnZ. Just wondering if any other places are out there that anyof you folks use. Thanks!
-
I've used Rhode Island Wiring in Mass. for several cars ... great folks to work with. http://www.riwire.com/

Narragansett is another http://www.narragansettreproductions.com/wiring-harness.html
I have been told that YnZ labels their wiring harnesses better than others. So that you know where to attach each connector. I don't know if this is still true. -
Yes Jon, that's still true and Y n Z,s lets their wires run a little long so you can 'fit' the harness to your car without straining the wire or having it run straight from the harness to the unit you are wiring which makes it look like an amature job. They leave the wires long and give you a bag of terminals that you solder on where you want/need them.

Order from YnZ's is the best thing you can do. I installed their 1953 Hornet harness in my car in 1997 and still looks like the day I install it. Never had any problems with it and going on 139,000 miles. Walt.

I agree with Walt. Put a new harness in when I restored my '30 Essex. VERY easy. Everything labeled and looks great. Excellent service from order to delivery.

I put a YnZ in my 1954 Sedan, very easy. It works perfect and it's a thing of beauty. I'll use YnZ for my next two cars.

Have installed Y 'n Z harnesses in three Terraplanes with great satisfaction.
