Auto lamps and Spark plugs?
-
So my grandfather past away and left me an inheritance of his tools and his auto parts and supplies. Some good some not so good but I came across these auto lamps and spark plugs a friend said they could be worth something but im not totally sure so I thought I should turn to the experts! So if anyone would be willing to help me out I would really appreciate it! Here's what I know I have 8 boxes of 10 Heavy duty auto lamps, GE Fleetline No.1157. i also have a few lamps that aren't in boxes. For the spark plugs I have tons of these! so instead of writing them all out I've taken a photo of everything I have. I'll give more detail of everything if someone could tell me if this worth something or if I should throw it all out!
Thanks for any help!IMG_05071.JPG800 x 598 - 51KIMG_05032.JPG800 x 598 - 51K -
Go to Ebay and type in the part numbers (and manufacturer), and you'll see how much they are going for.
Or, type the item into Google and find dealers, to see what they're charging for the same item. For example, 1157 bulbs are going for $1.42 apiece at this website: http://www.bulbconnection.com/ViewSIMItem/bcrw/simid/1219/item.html . Nextag shows a whole range of prices: http://www.nextag.com/1157-bulbs/shop-html
You can either sell them on Ebay (one or two to an auction) if you have time, or just put a whole box up for sale (you'll get less per unit but you'll get rid of them sooner). Or contact one of the internet bulb companies to see if they'd buy them from you by the box. Same for the spark plugs; there are internet antique car parts places who sell those, and who might be interested in buying your stock of parts. -
Those 1157 bulbs were used by everyone xcept G.M. for tail/stoplamp bulbs for 12 volt cars and trucks. They'll work fine for the G.M. vehicles that originally used 1034s. The 1157 is a heavy duty version of the 1034. Hope this helps.
