Does anyone know where I can find new reproduction hubcaps like these? 15" or is it best for me to have these rechromed.

No one is re-popping these, but used ones are readily available. Best to re-chrome the ones you have if they are in good shape.

If you have to find new hub caps anyway, why not get truck style caps?

Thanks. I went to get them chromed until I was told $800.00. And they are in rather good condition. no pitting but a few dings.

What do the truck style look like?

The small caps used on the 46-49's was standard for the truck. Large caps
    of this period were optional.

The caps you have on your truck are large style from 1950-52. 1953 caps
were stainless and hard to find without minor dents. It is up to you.:)

Oh ok, I still have the small ones but I think I like the bigger ones better. I couldn't find reproduction of either the big or small. So I guess I will work with what I have. Thanks for the info.

Believe it or not, the $800 for the 4 hubcaps, as much as it pains me to say it, is about the going rate these days. Once copper went through the roof, chrome plating became astronomical. The average going rate for any piece of chrome plating is around 150. Larger pieces more, smaller pieces less, but that is roughly the standard. There are over one hundred pieces of chrome on a 1952 Hornet/Commodore. You can do the math. Most folks don't believe me when I tell them I'm approaching 16k on chrome plating alone and still have about a thousand more to go. I still can remember I paid $175 for my first CAR, and it was a driver.
