'29 Hudson club sedan
-
a '29 Hudson club sedan, body by Biddle & Smart, & on the 139" w.b., is listed on eBay. It appears to be largely original in many ways, has 59 K miles.
The 139" w.b. Hudsons with body by B & S are accepted by the Classic Car Club as true American classic cars.
If interested & look at the pictures the padded top, landau bars, big padded trunk on the rear were std. equip. This one has dual sidemounts & wire wheels too.
Looking at the one picture under the hood it would appear to have it's original vac. tank, horn, and oil can (for use in oiling the overhead int. valves).
It has it's original crankhole cover too.

The 1929 Hudson is a Victoria, of which Biddle & Smart made many each month. The car is rare as only about 8 remain. and any 1929 Hudson is rare, but a lot of them were made. This is a short wheelbase Hudson , not a model L ,the long wb. which is a classic.
The vacumne tank is not orginal, it is from a Packard, Hudson used a tall narrow style. The crank hole cover is a reproduction. The carb bowl is a reprduction in bronze. Other than that the car is a restored to orginal car done in the 1990s.
This car drives well, and I enjoyed owning it for about 4 years. It is a good car to study as it has almost all orginal parts and the best effort to restore as stock.
