OK, the latest National Meet registration has been published. Please don't use any other registration forms as there have been a few corrections made. Don't worry if you have already sent in the one in the WTN or the one previously scanned and posted on this forum... we can make the corrections when we receive the form.

    Take a look at http://clubs.hemmings.com/padutchhet

This was just put up today... so be kind, and let me know of anything missed or needed.

Curious - tried to open the link with Firefox - Gave me a Error: Sorry, but HTML files are not supported msg. Not surprising - I can't open a lot of the online library files, especially the big ones, without waiting for a while. I've found, in recent weeks, Firefox to be very quirky.

    However, did open with IE.

Alex, I don't know why your FireFox won't display the page. I just checked with mine and it worked just fine. When was the last time you updated Firefox...is it an older version??

All rooms at both host hotels have been reserved.

Please, If you have reserved rooms and at anytime you find that you will not be able to use them, please do not return them to the Hotel. If you notify Allan Minard at ARMinard@comcast.net, hew will attempt to place your rooms with other members. That way we can keep the rate on the rooms as advertised. If the rooms are returned to the hotel, the rate reverts to the rack rate for the hotel should someone else need them. Allan will transfer the rooms and insure that your deposit is refunded.

All rooms at the host hotels have been reserved II:

We are aware that both hotels have been completely booked The response has been stronger than ever. We previously went back to both hotels and increased our room allotment. The additional rooms have also been booked and there are no additional rooms available in either hotel: they are all sold out with Hudson people. Neither Hotel has any additional rooms. The good thing is that we have completely booked both hotels. The bad thing is that they were both filled by the end of November.

To help out with this we just completed negotiations with 2 additional hotels. These hotels are very close by and will give Hudson reservations she same rate as the host hotel. As soon as I am sure the deal is available when you call, I'll post the specifics here, That way you can jump on the additional rooms. I hope this helps.

This is a really great problem for us have, we know this meet will be well attended. Now if we can get half the pre-registered people to bring a Hudson product, we will have a really great turn-out.

If you ave any questions, please wither PM me or contact the meet organizer group at GettysburgHET_National@comcast.net

A revised registration has been published. Please don't use any other registration forms as there have been a few corrections made. Don't worry if you have already sent in the one .. we can make the corrections when we receive the form.

The big change was in the date of the advanced registration cut-off. The discount is to apply to all registrations received by 3/15/12.

Also,we have corrected the process for the RV spaces at the Host Hotel. Please contact Allan Minard at ARMinard@comcast.net to reserve your RV space.

Due to overwhelming response, we booked all the available rooms at the 2 host hotels in Gettysburg. The response has been greater than anyone anticipated. Thusly, we have secured commitments from 2 additional hotels. They both are honoring the $ 119.00 rate offered at the Wyndham complex.

Don’t be disappointed…. Rooms are going very fast. RESERVE YOURS NOW!

We gonna fill every motel in Gettysburg at this rate.

Coupe weeks back Firefox hijacked my computer and installed the latest update, Firefox 12, as I recall. It still won't open the link "http://clubs.hemmings.com/padutchhet."

Hmmm - verrrrrrrrry interrrrrrrrresting. I copied and pasted the link into the address box ???? and it worked. Just won't work from the forum page.

    All's well that ends well!!!

    Alex - Fixed the link, it works now;

    Per 'Jon B'
'Regarding cancellations at either of the host hotel rooms: if anyone wants to cancel theirs and make sure that Hudson people get them, please take heed of what's been published by the meet organizers:

"Please, If you have reserved rooms and at anytime you find that you will not be able to use them, please do not return them to the Hotel. If you notify Allan Minard at ARMinard@comcast.net, hew will attempt to place your rooms with other members. That way we can keep the rate on the rooms as advertised. If the rooms are returned to the hotel, the rate reverts to the rack rate for the hotel should someone else need them. Allan will transfer the rooms and insure that your deposit is refunded."

Note: Check with Allan - He might have some leads on those wanting to share a room, or those looking for a room to share (?)...

I just got a reservation at the Econolodge on US 30 less than a mile from the meet location for $ 80.10 + 9% taxes and fees for Tue thru Thr - check out on Fri AM. Yes, you might say I'm "tite", but $ 130.00 per night is a little more than I can handle!

I'd be happy to add a story on the Classic Car site too. Are there any more details to be had other than the info in the Meet Schedule?

I could also publish a post-National Meet wrap-up if members would like to pass along some notes.

With great regret, I will not be attending the National Meet in Gettysburg this year. With $600 each plane tickets, $300 rental car, motel rooms, and the problem of bringing back parts on the airline, ect. Was considering driving, but can't get the 21st off! It might be better to just put the money in my Hudson's restoration. Anyway, found a nice inexpensive motel if anyone is interested, as I cancelled my room. It is the Budget Host Three Crowns Motor Lodge. It is rated very high on Trip Advisor, and the owner, Mark, is a really nice guy. He told me you can park in front of your room and he will provide a hose to wash your car. And the rooms are only $68! (717)334-3168
So, will wait to see John Fromm's video this Christmas!
See you in San Francisco next year!

Looking at the long range forcast for the National - mid-80's to mid-90's most all week with one day around 95. Nights look like they are going to be decent. Overall don't look all that bad.
