2011 has seen a lot of activity in the Hudson community. It seemed like every day there was a post about a new Hudson resto project.

Those of us either hardy enough - or crazy enough - made the National in Oklahoma City. I went because my bank was crazy enough to float me a personal loan and because it was close enough to Memphis to be feasable.

A joke going around sums up the year - 10 years ago we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny cash. We end 2011 with no jobs, no hope and no cash!!!

However, that said, I've been on this planet (and mabye a few others on those lost weekends when I was young and foolish) for 74 years - I have seen good times, bad times and times in between. I'm here to tell you things will get better - sooner or later. (So says the eternal optimist!!)

    HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody.

Well, I turned 76 last year, Drove the Hornet, the Commadore, the Terraplane or the Pickup almost every day. Took them to a lot of car shows, and met a lot of great people. Made a lot of progress on the coupe, and am well on the way to saving a 40 eight for a friend and new chapter member.

Sold several Hudson parts on ebay, donated a couple of parts and some info to the boys in Sweden to help other people get their Hudsons on the road. The Swedes are generous by the way, and appreciate the help.

Participated in the great Eastern Regional, hosted Uncle Josh's 12th annual show, published the CURRENTS newsletter every month and it's due again.

Lost a couple of great friends and chapter members.

Looking forward to a fun year, Gettysburg with the coupe, gonna try and make LaFlammes meet, finish the motor, and the coupe, start the 46 pickup refurb, go to a lot of meets, do some camping etc. Day of rest today but tomorrow we gotta get at it and GIT ER DONE!

You all have a great year.

Wish I was as energetic as Uncle Josh, but will keep trying. Walk almost every day couple of miles, exercise 3 times a week, keep the grandkids, volunteer sometimes at different things, but Hudsons keep getting put on the back burner. Will try to make a conscious change this year, before I'm unconscious. Bob P
