Propeller Shaft
-
Hi out there Hudson folks you have help me before hope some one can help me whit this. I have take the propeller shaft apart but the cork seal who is behind the Nut shaft-at bearing was broken the part number is 303922 Seal-shaft nut. Do somebody know if anyone have in US.
Jan Pettersson Sweden. Sorry just forgott the car is a 52 hornet. -
Ya got me Jan. Looking at the shaft diagram, in the Mechanical Procedures manual, It doesn't mention a cork seal. However, the cutaway of the nut looks like there's a seal inside the nut, which would make sense if it's to keep the grease in the spline. Is that where your's is?
Don't know anyone who has them, but you should be able to make one that works out of sheet cork. -
Uncle Josh I think you mean the same i´am looking for I only have small pices of the seals but it seems to me that is some cork materia.Maybe I can take a o-ring seal if no one have it.

A rubber type O ring will work o.k.
