Twin H on 50 262 motor
-
Question??? Can you put a Hornet Twin H set up on a 50 Super 6 262 ci or should I go to a Twin H from a later 262? With the long wheel base you have room for the Hornet linkage. What do you think???
-
FYI
The intake will fit the motor fine, however Hornet's have slightly larger carbs than 262 Twin H intakes. Some people over the yrs probably interchanged the Twin H's without ever realizing the difference. -
Thanks, I bet you are right,I knew the base of the carbs. are bigger than the 262 on the 308. I guess the differance in block wideth might make some differance. The linkage on the short wheel base is different and hard to come by. I have the linkage off of the 308. Thanks again and have a Merry Cristmas.

I have seen the 308 set-up on many 262's. It really seems to make them run Ok too. If you look, the 307093 Part# will be on a 308 twin-H manifold as well as the 262 manifold. The manifolds, as far as I can tell, are identical, except the throat size of the carb base.

I have a twin-H for a 262, if you're interested. Make offer. mmittge at compprime dot com.
