I have a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle and recently my wind-shield wiper motor went out. So I bought a new one, but I have no idea how to put it in or where its even located. If someone can please explain in detail how to do this it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

Can't really help 'cause I don't have a VW, but...

Since you're obviously into working on your car yourself, you should ask Santa this year for a repair manual for this car. You can probably find a "general" manual at your local car parts place, or you may even happen onto a real, authentic factory manual (the type they had at the VW dealer's back in '74 when the car was new. Ebay is a good place to start. There is no doubt a VW owner's club out there (probably more than one!) and if you go to their website you may see manuals advertised. In fact, you might even be able to pose this question (how to change the wiper) on the forum of one of those club websites, in which case you can then come back to ask a follow-up question, should you get stumped halfway through. Joining an enthusiast's club (such as for the Beetle) could be a very wise investment, assuming you are going to hold onto this car, because of all the assistance they can offer. And they're invaluable when it comes to finding parts, both new and used.
