Classic Car Angel Eyes Halo Headlight
-
Hello classiccar.com members,
My name is Anthony, I a brand new member. I joined because I need your help. I am currently looking for a better headlight for my 67 mustang. I like the look of the little LED’s that surround the headlights of the 2010 Audi Q7. These lights are used as Daylight Running Lights (DRL), I’m sure most of you have see them running down the road. From what I can tell they are called Angel Eyes halo. They really look awesome.

I don’t like the look of the solid CCFL halo headlights like found on BMW automobiles. So in my quest to find a 7 inch round H6024 headlight, I found two companies that produce Angel Eye halo’s one named TopGear at Amazon and another named RedLine LumTronix(website: HaloHeadlights.co not com). I think TopGear is a reseller for another company, because I have seen the same headlight sold by other companies, so who knows who really produces this headlight, it could be made in china and bought by several companies. Below is what their headlight looks like. Looks cool but I am not sure I like how close the LED’s are and the half moon style. Their LED’s are really close together, but I have never seen this light on a car to tell if it looks good or not? I wonder if there are any modifications that need to be made to the headlight bucket to make it work? If anyone on this forum has this headlight please let me know what you really think of it, quality and all. The LED’s in this headlight look like the old style low tech LED’s.

The other company is RedLine LumTronix. This company seems to only sell from their website, which could be a plus, because you don’t have to deal with a middle man if there are problems. Their headlight is made on a full ring which looks better in my opinion. They sell two types of Headlights both with SMD LED’s which are the best and brightest LED’s on the market. One is a single color angel eyes halo and the other is a multi color angel eyes halo. I have seen the single color white on a 68 mustang on their site in the banner page. The other multi color angel eyes halo on their products page. Has anyone had any experience with this company and or their headlights? I wonder if there are any modifications that need to be made to the headlight bucket to make it work?
See picture here (look down the page at multi color); http://haloheadlights.co/components-and-features/
Maybe there is another company out there that has a headlight similar to this as well, if you know of any let me know.
I have put a lot of money in my car as most car lovers on this website and I don’t want to purchase something that is junk in the end. Thank you in advanced for your help.
Anthony
