distributor mounting gasket
-
Does anyone know a part number that interchanges with the distributor mounting gasket on a Hornet 308 (1953 model 7C). I'd like to find something at a local parts store such as NAPA, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, VIP Auto Parts or Advance Auto. If you don't have an interchange part number, another car identification would also help.
This is the gasket that fits in a recess in the block when you install the distributor.
Thanks

Hi Ed
Just wondering if a rubber O-ring would work as well. Has anyone tried that? I have added one to my draft tube and will see how well it does when I get it back on the road soon.

Hi Ed,
I use 2 o rings from my Harbor Freight o ring assortment. I get leakage when using only one. One seems to work well for the road draft tube also.

Give me your address and 3 bucks and I will drop one in mail. The postage is more than the gasket.
