Re: Nov/Dec 2011 WTN - Arrived Today!
-
I just got my Sept/Oct issue here in Ontario not bad for 1st class
-
Attention Canadian Members! We still don't know why the Sept/Oct issue was delayed, and since I'm 2,500 miles from the mail site I'm relying on others to check. However, the Nov/Dec 2011 issue was taken to the US Post Office by the printer and mailed directly to every Canadian member last Tuesday, November 15. We hope this fixes the problem! :dry:HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET)

Got mine on Saturday. I guess that is a indication that the western states get the same day delivery. The recent snowstorm did not slow down the mail delivery here in Utah? Great issue. Love the photo spread and story inside the back cover. Amother great and rare Hudson comes out of the woods. Will be great to see the car at the National this year....Brownie

Mine came Saturday. Another good one!! Looking forward to Gettysburg.

Thanks Sam! Did not get mine yet but a friend scanned the Compton meet pages and sent it to me. Great Job! Prior to June, I did not know anybody on the US side. Went to Albany for the Eastern Regional and in Carmen's Meet in Vermont and I found such nice people there and invited them in Compton. I did not even know how to organize a meet! But the ideas came fast in my head and I organized it quite fast. I had people from friday to monday. And they want to come back next year! It will probably happen again! Can't wait now for the eastern in june and the national in july. Thanks again! MichelSamJ wrote:54SuperWasp wrote:To those whoe have it. Hi Bob, while you are here, just want everybody know how much how great it was to do business with you from a distance when I bought one of your Dual Outlet Exhaust Manifold Adaptor while you were in OKC. With the help of Karl Weber and Carmen Laflamme ( other great people)I got it for my meet. I show it to everybody. Hope to meet you in person next year. Thanks again, Michel. P.S. Did you noticed the cake I had from the ederly people's house?bobdriveshudson wrote:Love those color pictures and all the information about the meets, great job. Thanks, WTN in Alabama(Bob P) -
You sure are lucky people over there I only got the last issue a couple of weeks ago but then it is a long way to send it down under.
The postage on the last issue had a Sydney Aus.address to return to if undeliverd.
Spencer. -
That Aussie address wasn't mine was it Spencer.LOL
I only got my last issue a few weeks ago as well. -

I second doing business with Bob. I missed seeing the 7X style exhaust adaptors for sale at the meet. When I heard they were all sold I wrote Bob that I was sorry I missed seeing them there and the oportunity to get one. He wrote back that he found one still at the house he forgot to take and if I was interested I could buy it.
Even though money is tight for me I could not resist and ordered it, especially since it was the last one for sale. When it arrived I was very impressed with how well it was made inside and out. It even had HUDSON cast on the adaptor, a nice touch. Bob might be persuaded to produce more if there are enough people that want one. It took him awhile to sell the last batch. So if interested start contacting him. I do not think you would be disappointed with the product.
Have a great day and a happy Thanksgiving.

You're right Lee, and even if I would not put it on the car, I would certainly put it right in my living-room, for it is, to me, a work of art and something that would start a lot of talking related to Hudsons around a nice cold drink!
This will give my plain four door Super Wasp, but with Twin-H (262) a Little Devil touch! Have a nice day too! Michel -
Got my WTN yesterday. I appreciate the effort it takes to put the magazine together. Was disappointed about some of the mis-information in the '39 article. Overdrive wasn't even available from Hudson until the '40 model year. The '40 o.d. unit could have been retrofitted to the '39 with some effort, but not until the '40's came out.Arkie

Great job on the WTN Sam, one problem though, but it's something that's beyond your control. Mine came with double pages # 9 thru 12 and 37 thru 40, but no pages # 13 thru 16 or # 33 thru 36 ! Has this happened to anyone else?
-
Steve: A few members have had this problem...there was obviously a glitch in the print run that affected some copies. Send an email to Charlotte Sargent and she will send you another one right away.

O.K. thanks Sam. Have a great Thanksgiving. Steve.

I Got it! For your information Sam, mine arrived today ( the 23rd) at the Post office in Compton, Qc, Canada. Since it was sent on the 15th, it makes an average of 6 working days since Canadian Post office is closed on week-ends. Pretty good to me! And I got all my pages! Thanks again to Carmen LaFlamme for such a report on the Compton meet and to you Sam, for editing it! Happy Thanksgiving! MichelSamJ wrote:Attention Canadian Members!
